The Guild Prayer
Most Merciful God, giver of all authority, by the merits of Thy Divine Son and through the intercession of His Holy Mother and our glorious patron St. Michael, grant that we may this day and every day, overcome all temptations, especially to injustice and disloyalty, and with our minds inflamed by Thy Holy Spirit perform all our duties in such a manner as may be pleasing to Thy Divine Will, so that when called to report for the last time we may not be found wanting, and may be allowed to remain for ever in Thy Presence. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.
Prayer for the Conversion of England
O Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother look down in mercy upon England thy Dowry and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our Hope was given unto the world and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more. Plead for us, thy children whom thou did receive and accept at the foot of the cross O sorrowful Mother, Intercede for our separated brethren that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the Chief Shepherd the Vicar of Thy Son. Pray for us all dear Mother that by faith, fruitful in good works we may all deserve to see and praise God together with thee in our Heavenly home. Amen
Prayer of St. Alphonsus Liguori to the Sacred Heart
O Adorable Heart of my Jesus, Heart created expressly for the love of men! Until now I have shown towards Thee only ingratitude. Pardon me, O my Jesus. Heart of my Jesus, abyss of love and of mercy, how is it possible that I do not die of sorrow when I reflect on Thy goodness to me and my ingratitude to Thee? Thou, my Creator, after having created me, hast given Thy Blood and Thy life for me; and not content with this, Thou hast invented a means of offering Thyself up every day for me in the holy Eucharist, exposing Thyself to a thousand insults and outrages. Ah, Jesus, do Thou wound my heart with a great contrition for my sins, and a lively love for Thee; through Thy tears and Thy Blood give me the grace of perseverance in Thy fervent love until I breathe my last sigh. Amen.
Consecration to the Sacred Heart
O Sweetest Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us, humbly prostrated before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we would ever be: and in order that we may live more closely united to Thee, behold here today every one of us consecrates himself to Thy Sacred Heart. Many, alas! have never known Thee; many, despising Thy commandments, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, O most loving Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. O Lord, be Thou King, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children, who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of misery and hunger. Be Thou King of those who live in the delusion of error, or who are separated from Thee by schism, call them back to the haven of truth and to the unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one fold and one Shepherd. And, lastly, be Thou King of all those who sit in the ancient superstition of paganism; and refuse not to deliver them out of darkness into light and to the Kingdom of God. Grant, O Lord, safety and liberty to Thy Church; give peace and order to all nations; make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the divine Heart whence comes our salvation, to It be glory and prayer for ever.
Prayer of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
Eternal Father, suffer me to offer Thee the Heart of Jesus Christ, Thy beloved Son, as He himself offered it in sacrifice to Thee. Receive this offering for me, as well as all the desires, sentiments, affections, movements and acts of this Sacred Heart. They are all mine, since He offered Himself for me, and henceforth I wish to have no other desires but His. Receive them in satisfaction for my sins, and in thanksgiving for all Thy benefits. Grant me through His merits all the graces necessary for my salvation, especially that of final perseverance. Receive them as so many acts of love, adoration, and praise, which I offer to Thy divine Majesty, since it is through the Heart of Jesus, that Thou art worthily honoured and glorified. Amen.
